BOARD MEETING SUMMARY:The regularly scheduled September 11 board meeting was canceled out of respect for the victims of the World Trade Center disaster. On September 18, a board meeting was held at 6:30 pm before the general meeting. It was recommended the SARC Hamfest bulletins be sent to AES and HRO. The general membership should be reminded to look for candidates for SARC offices to be nominated in the October general meeting. The ARRL application for the ARRL approval of the Hamfest was submitted to and approved by the Southwest Division Director. This is now a sanctioned Hamfest. The Hamfest chairman reminded all members that only about half of the assignments for the December Hamfest have volunteers. This year SARC will be providing volunteers for every activity. Many organizations are watching to see if SARC can do it. Each able member should allocate a few hours during Friday November 30 or Saturday, December 1, 2001. There will be a Christmas Party in December.
