September ADAW Column,
Arizona Science Center, W7ASC

The C.A.R.L. General license class is underway at the Arizona Science Center. We had 17 sign up with 14 continuing. The test is listed on the ARRL web page, scheduled for Saturday September 2nd, 10AM at the Science Center. The next Tech class is planned to start at MCC October 7th. What with the changes in the new question pool the number of classes has been reduced to 7. No block diagrams, schematic symbols, etc on the test. Since these are important parts of learning about Ham Radio they are still included in the class... hey, you have to know how to hook stuff up ...and what that jiggly line means!

We have less than a month remaining on the W7ASC Summer Hours (10AM to 3PM). Schools are starting back up judging by the "back to school" sales. We will go back to 2 shifts (9:00AM to 1:00PM and 1:00PM to 5:00PM) starting Tuesday Sept 5th. This means more Volunteers will be needed! Spread the word at your Ham Club. Call Bob at 480-961-1109 and volunteer now. A Volunteer sign-up page is available at www.w7asc.org
