SARC General Meeting 2/20/2007

Meeting called to order at 7:08 pm

Old Business:

1: Marathon: Byron, K7TLH is not present, so 'official' report not available.  Various members of the club stood up to report that there were a few problems, but otherwise it went off well.

2: Insurance: Gene, WA8TSG has sent the cheque for insurance to the arrl.

3: Technical Committee: Dan, N0FPE says that the existing 449.600 cannot handle the morning drive time net.  We are thinking about putting the GE MASTR II 110W repeater out there, and leaving the current repeater as a backup.  Larry, WB7CRK made a motion to install the GE repeater and buy the proper ICOM crystals. Terry, NK7T seconded.  The motion passed.

New Business:

1: W7W: Larry, WB7CRK has gotten the call sign through  February 26.  The main day is Saturday from 7:30am through 4:30pm. Can also operate Sunday, with special arrangements.  There is a guard on site, so can leave equipment.

2:  Rod, K7RLB says that Mary, KC9G, a recent transplant from Milwaukee, needs help with setting up an antenna.
