SARC General Meeting, 3/20/2007

Old Business:

1: Hamfest: Ron says that we still need to find a vendor for food.  Jo Wilson may have a lead on one.  Terry, NK7T brought up the possibility of having the fest at the old board meeting location at Gilbert and main. (The former Peter piper pizza)

2: Field day: The club has been invited back to Pastor Bill's church in Top of the World. The call sign used will be either the shortest Extra call there, or the Club call WB7TJD.  Some of the Scottsdale club members may follow us up there.

3: The club is still looking for a new meeting place.  Also, we are thinking of changing the meeting night.

4: There will be a Hospital drill on Tuesday, April 24th. The net will use the 147.120 and 449.200 repeaters, so please avoid using these frequencies on this date.

New Business:

1: Larry, AD7GL has left his position on the Board. Jo Wilson, XYL of WA8TSG will fill in as an interim Board member for the rest of the term.

2: Weather permitting, the picnic will probably be on the third of November.

3: Larry, WB7CRK wanted to put a monthly meeting / net notice out in postcard format, but the club did not want this due to the cost of postage.

4: Thomas, K7FFF sent an email to Art and Dianne, asking to have the repeater ban lifted. Art and Dianne forwarded the unbiased letter to Brian. He brought this up at the last Board meeting, and the board said 'no' and the general club carried the decision.

Miscellanea:

1: Now, each General meeting, we will start off with the Pledge of Allegiance.

2: John, KC7KML won the 50/50 raffle. He donated it back to the repeater fund.
