The W7ASC annual meeting is scheduled for Saturday January 26th at 9:30AM in the
AZ Science Center boardroom "A". We will have a full agenda with a report on Ham
Shack improvements from the Tech committee (Rick KA9KZB), and up-to-date
information on the Ham Shack move from Stan Brower (AZ Science Center). No
updates as of this column (Jan 10th) but we will have a full report in the next
ADAW column.
The next Tech License class starts Saturday February 23rd at MCC. Flyers are out
at HRO and at the W7ASC station with detailed info. If you know someone that
would like to get their Tech license have them give me a call, 480-961-1109. We
only had 5 students sign up last fall so had to cancel. If you know someone that
wants to get their Tech license please sign them up today! Classes are from
Saturday Feb 23rd to April 19th 10:00am to 1:00pm for Seven 3-hour sessions. The
MCC Fee is $27. Amateur License test will be at last class session April 19th.
To register call MCC Community Education at 480-461-7493. Section NC 500 0770.
Again we have the monthly plea for more W7ASC volunteers. Currently we have
about
45 active volunteers. Not enough to cover all of the shifts, especially
Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. We have several volunteers coming in twice
and three times a week to fill the shifts. Help prevent burn-out, spread the
word at your Ham Club. Call Bob at 480-961-1109 and volunteer now. A Volunteer
sign-up page is available at www.w7asc.org
