The AZ Science Center purchased the 42" LCD monitor screen, cabinets are now in along the South wall. The wall graphics are done on the South and West inside walls and on the outside. The 24-hour LCD clocks are not in place as yet and the 20" monitors should be remounted soon to give us more desk space. Steve WB4ZSC has the "Ham Bio" PPS slide show of "famous Hams" at rev 2.1. It looks great on the big screen. We plan to develop a similar PPS of some of the DX QSL cards received. The old (and worn out) Kenwood V7A has been replaced with a Kenwood TMG-707A. Now you can read the display! A lot has happened over the last month! Come on in and see how nice the Shack is looking.
On the education front the Spring 2009 Tech License class is concluding with about 7 of 11 students taking the test this Saturday (4/11). Results will be posted in the next ADAW. The General License class is scheduled to start at the AZ Science Center July 18th through to August 29th.
Rick, KA0KZB, has been active on the CARL Board, in the design and implementation of the new W7ASC Shack and as an instructor for the Ham License Classes. He has been in the hospital for the last month with complications form diabetes. Cards can be sent to his home address (and would I am sure, be greatly appreciated)

We are still looking for W7ASC volunteers for the New Ham Shack. The "Summer Hours" (10:00AM-3:00PM) start Saturday 5/23 through to Labor Day 9/7. Spread the word at your Ham Club. Call 480-961-1109 and volunteer now. A Volunteer sign-up page is available at www.w7asc.org .
And a final note: When the Arizona Science center has a fire drill it is imperative that everyone clear the building as quickly as possible when an alarm is sounded. We do not want any "Smoked Ham." Of course if you have your HT with you, you can be part of the emergency response.
