Terry is working 40 meters on Field Day. Daytime coverage from Arizona around the state and into adjacent states is common, with extended range in the morning and afternoon hours versus midday. Overnight coverage will reach out to greater distances than during the day. Static will build into the afternoon and evening hours, dying down toward midnight, as thunderstorm activity over the U.S. and tropics dies off after the local sunset.
