Solar Monitor Summary for 2009
From The WB7TJD Wiki
The Geomagnetic Field may either be Quiet, Unsettled or STORM! according to the Solar Activity Monitor. Beginning in June of 2009 when the logging was first implemented, we consistently recorded a Quiet Geomagnetic Field.
The Solar X-Rays may either be Normal, Active, M-Class Flare, X-Class Flare or Mega-Flare, each category being progressively stronger, according to the Solar Activity Monitor. Beginning in June of 2009, when logging was first implemented, we recorded several instances of Active Solar X-Rays, and many days in between of Normal Solar X-Rays.

Solar X-Rays summary for 2009
When this logging capability was added in June, we recorded
Solar X-Rays: Normal Geomagnetic Field: Quiet
July 2009
Then between Sun Jul 5 07:36:20 2009 UTC
and Mon Jul 6 07:09:52 2009 UTC':
Solar X-Rays: Active Geomagnetic Field: Quiet
Between Mon Jul 6 07:38:30 2009 UTC
and Fri Sep 25 01:03:52 2009 UTC, a period of over 60 days, Solar X-Rays remained at Normal and the Geomagnetic Field remained Quiet.
September 2009
On Fri Sep 25 01:23:28 2009 UTC
until Sat Sep 26 02:21:47 2009 UTC:
Solar X-Rays: Active Geomagnetic Field: Quiet
Then, from Sat Sep 26 02:29:02 2009 UTC until Sun Oct 25 02:18:52 2009 UTC the log shows Normal X-Rays and Quiet Geomagnetic Field.
October-November 2009
Between Sun Oct 25 02:38:33 2009 UTC
and Mon Oct 26 02:43:49 2009 UTC,
(Just over 24 hours):
Solar X-Rays: Active Geomagnetic Field: Quiet
Between Mon Oct 26 02:56:19 2009 UTC and Mon Oct 26 19:11:42 2009 UTC, we reported Normal and Quiet.
Another period of solar activity occurred between
Mon Oct 26 19:19:09 2009 UTC and Thu Oct 29 04:11:36 2009 UTC:
Solar X-Rays: Active Geomagnetic Field: Quiet
For 52 hours, between Thu Oct 29 04:32:28 2009 UTC and Sat Oct 31 09:57:22 2009 UTC, the log indicates Normal X-rays and Quiet geomagnetic field.
Between Sat Oct 31 10:19:56 2009 UTC and Sun Nov 1 09:41:52 2009 UTC:
Solar X-Rays: Active Geomagnetic Field: Quiet
From Sun Nov 1 09:46:54 2009 UTC through Tue Dec 22 22:20:50 2009 UTC, the Solar X-Rays remained Normal.
Not once did the Geomagnetic Field condition change during this log period.
December 2009: Start of a Very Active period!
Things start heating up as the log indicates Active status for Solar X-Rays, and in the coming months we have even some M-Class Flares and some Unsettled and STORM! readings in the Geomagnetic Field in early 2010 )next section)!
But right now, we have a 33-hour spread
Between Tue Dec 22 22:40:42 2009 UTC and Thu Dec 24 08:34:31 2009 UTC:
Solar X-Rays: Active Geomagnetic Field: Quiet
For eight days, spanning into January 2010, and starting Thu Dec 24 08:55:35 2009 UTC through Sat Jan 2 14:16:31 2010 UTC, the readings were Normal and Quiet.
