Superstition Hamfest Saturday, December 1, 2012

From 6 AM until 2 PM, with main drawing at noon

Sponsored by the Superstition Amateur Radio Club, this Hamfest has run every year except in 2000, since the 1980's.

Sunrise occurs at about 7:15 AM with first light of day at about 6:50 at this time of year.

When firm information is provided for publication, the following generalities will be replaced.  This information is carried over from year-to-year, as most of it is unchanging.

Drawing

The drawing for the main prizes will take place at noon on Saturday, December 1.  Need not be present to win main prizes.

Tickets are available at the club booth for $1 each or six for $5.

Half-Hourly Drawings

Every thirty minutes from 7:30 till 11:30 there will be a drawing for free subscriptions and other items, drawn on the main prize drawing tickets.  Must be present to win, and winners' tickets will be returned to the drum for the main drawing at noon.

Refreshments

No one will be permitted to sell food or beverages except for the contracted food vendor.  Refreshments will be available on the site.

No Alcoholic beverages, Firearms, Drugs allowed

The use of alcohol, firearms and drugs is Prohibited.

No vendor may sell over-the-counter medicine during the Hamfest.

Overnight parking available

The Superstition Hamfest grounds open at 4:30 pm Friday and close at 2 pm Saturday for overnight parking.  Must be self-contained.  There are no utilities, water or sewer hookups available.

ARCA Meeting

The Amateur Radio Council of Arizona meeting is slated to take place at 11 AM.

VE Testing at the Hamfest - Walk-ins only

Registration: 8:00 till 9:00am

[East Mesa VE Team] will take walk-in registrants at between 8am and 9am. Registration will close at 9am and testing will begin promptly at 9 for written examinations for Technician, General and Extra class licenses.

Testing:  9:00 till 11:00am

You must have original and one copy of your license and any CSCE.  Photo ID Required.  $15.00 Fee (exact change Please.)
